Youth Volleyball
Volleyball is a great team sport and it’s also an excellent way to build friendships, gain confidence and have fun!
Spring League (1st-2nd Grade)
These leagues are all about learning and growing. Building a solid foundation in a supportive environment is the focus, and all games are played with heavily modified rules designed to support the success of players as they learn about being a part of a team and get a solid grasp of the fundamental skills.
Practices held one evening per week at the Y. Weeknight practice days and times are determined by the volunteer coach and court availability. Games held Saturdays at the Y. Game times are dependent on number of teams in the league and will likely vary from week to week. For boys and girls in 1st and 2nd Grade. (Grade levels may be combined based on enrollment).
Our volunteer coaches make YMCA youth sports possible and create a lifelong impact on children by encouraging participation and emphasizing sportsmanship. If you are interested in becoming a volunteer coach, please indicate your interest on registration, we would love to have you join us this season! As we get closer to the start of the season, we will be in touch with you regarding a coaches’ meeting, season information, and practice resources.
