Special Programs Summer Events
Special Programs summer events are activities for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities that provide opportunities to learn new skills, try new activities, get outside, enjoy some physical activity and spend time with friends.
Adventure Trips
Explore some of the fun activities and events Wisconsin has to offer in the summer. These trips require swim ability, hiking over rough terrain, climbing multiple flights of stairs and other physical demands.

Thursday, June 26th – Canoeing
Get ready for a 7–10-mile canoe experience on Mirror Lake, followed by hiking, a picnic lunch and swimming! Please bring your own lunch.
Monday, July 7th – Action territory
Bumper Cars, Lazer Tag, Bumper Boats, and Mini Golf. Please bring your own lunch.
Monday, July 21st – Noah’s Ark
America’s Largest Waterpark! A hot dog lunch will be provided if you would like something else, please bring money for lunch or snack. Note: Noah’s Ark is a cashless venue! We can convert cash into a gift card but we will not be able to convert it back to cash so your change will remain on the gift card.
Monday, August 4th – Riverside and Great Northern Railway
Explore the Great Northern Railway Museum and a Beautiful scenic train ride on the riverside rail through the Wisconsin Dells
Monday, August 11th– Mt. Olympus
Water slides and coasters. Fun for everyone! The meal that will be provided is a hot dog, chips and drink.

All Access Day Trips
Explore some of the fun events and activities the state of Wisconsin has to offer this summer! These trips are accessible for those with mobility limitations.
Monday, June 16th – Milwaukee Zoo
Spend a day at the Milwaukee County Zoo. Please bring your own lunch.
Thursday, June 19th – Lake Shore Chinooks Game
Spend the day cheering on the Lake Shore Chinooks as they take on the Wausau Woodchucks!
Monday, July 14th – Field Workshop/ Lake Front
Get crafty in the Field Workshop’s Splatter Paint Room followed by Surrey Bike rentals and Kite flying at Milwaukee’s Veterans park.
Thursday, July 24th – Circus World
Spend a day under the big top in Baraboo, WI. Please bring money to buy your lunch.
Friday, August 1st – Fireside Theatre: The Little Mermaid
Spend the day at the Fireside Theatre for some fine dining and a great show – The Little Mermaid! The meal will be provided: chopped salad, chicken cordon bleu and peanut butter pie.
Tuesday, August 19th – Night Fishing
We’ll cast off to catch the biggest fish on Okauchee Lake! This trip is not wheelchair accessible but is appropriate for those using walkers or who can walk for short periods of time. Hot Dog, chips, fruit or veggie, dessert and water provided for dinner
Thursday, August 28th – Brewer’s Game
Spend the day cheering on the Brewers! Tailgate lunch provided before the game. American Family Field is cashless but participants may bring a debit or credit card to purchase concessions. We can convert cash into a gift card but we will not be able to convert it back to cash so your change will remain on the gift card.

Join us for either or both of our 3 days or 4 days of fun in the sun! Designed for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
